FOCUS ON INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH: MANIFESTO IMPLEMENTATION UNIT WANTS MORE FUNDING FOR UIRI

The Manifesto Implementation Unit in the Office of the President is calling for more funding to the Uganda Industrial Research Institute – UIRI. Fred Kamugira, a Director in the President’s Office says increased funding for such projects will actualize NRM Government’s quest for skills development and Industrialization. Kamugira was leading a team of Economists and Administrators from the Manifesto Implementation Unit to assess the extent to which UIRI has lived up to its goals.
