Footballers past and present lead new charge against racism in football

Current and former football players have come together to sign a pledge committing themselves to publicly pushing for racial equality in football. The statement was agreed during a conference at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground. It said the signees must “use their platforms and influence to demand an end to racism in their sport”.
