Forestry Department Still At War With Invasive Iguana Species

The Forestry Department says efforts to mitigate the threat posed by an invasive alien species of iguana are ongoing. Since 2022 he Department has been working quell an upsurge in the invasive iguana population in Saint Lucia. Fears about possible hybridization of the island’s endemic iguana were realized when a pregnant green invasive species of iguana was discovered here.
