Former Chairman of the ECB Colin Graves is to appear before the DCMS Select Committee after he edged closer to a controversial return to Yorkshire, with its chair raising concerns his comeback could “undermine progress” made in tackling racism. Graves’ first spell at the county overlapped with a period where the club have since admitted failing to address the systemic use of racist and discriminatory language, an issue which truly came to light after former player Azeem Rafiq spoke out in the summer of 2020.
