Sky News contributor Des Houghton discusses former Queensland housing minister Dr Bruce Flegg who had the "idea" for the new Queen's Wharf residential and entertainment precinct in Brisbane. "Bruce Flegg came into the Campbell Newman's first ministry as a very reluctant works and housing minister; however, he grasped the nettle, and he looked at a lot of the buildings that the government owned that he said were inefficient – they housed public servants but not enough," Mr Houghton told Sky News Australia. "There were four of them in a row plus a vacant block of land – so his idea was to knock them all down and start again. "Now the $4 billion project we call Queen's Wharf is nearing completion is open. "Fleggy had a vision and it has come through spectacularly."
