Former transport minister S Iswaran pleads guilty after charges amended

"Your Honour, I plead guilty." Former minister S Iswaran has been convicted of amended charges of obtaining gifts as a public servant and obstructing justice, after the prosecution replaced his corruption charges with lesser ones. The 62-year-old pleaded guilty to 5 charges, with 30 charges taken into consideration for sentencing. Iswaran's high-profile criminal trial began on Tuesday (Sep 24) at Singapore’s High Court.
