French scientists arrive in Arkansas ahead of eclipse
Among the hundreds of thousands of tourists descending on Arkansas for the total solar eclipse is a team of French scientists. The team are all current or former members of the Paris Observatory, one of the largest astronomical centers on earth. There are a lot of big brains in Russellville right now—the NASA team has claimed Whataburger, but across the street, Arkansas Tech University has invited the Paris Observatory team to lead educational eclipse outreach events.
