Shellana David dreams of one day becoming a nurse and working with children, and the 16-year-old Coleridge and Parry student is putting her all into achieving that goal. The ambition is driven by her own experience from childhood, amidst the fear of yet another return of the cancer which threatened her life and from which she has twice been declared free. She was first diagnosed at the tender age of six, when her stomach began to swell and “a lot of other weird things” started happening to her body. (Video by Shanice King)
