Gaza's displaced face sanitation crisis amid Israeli attacks and rising disease threats
Across Gaza, thousands of forcibly displaced Palestinians live in tents due to over 450,000 houses being damaged. Despite this, Israeli attacks continue, causing fear and suffering. These tents lack basic facilities, leading to widespread diseases like dysentery and hepatitis among children. The increasing summer heat and poor sanitation worsen conditions. UN agencies and health professionals warn that without a ceasefire and aid, the situation will continue to deteriorate, leading to more lost lives. Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary reports from one camp in Deir al Balah, in central Gaza.
