Israeli military raids on several areas in eastern Khan Younis killed at least 40 people and injured dozens, according to the official Voice of Palestine radio and Hamas media. Local hospitals report at least 12 of the victims are children. The escalation comes after Iran launched a barrage of missiles at Israel on Tuesday – a day after its military began a ground campaign in Lebanon in pursuit of Hezbollah.
