Georgia protests: Thousands hit streets for 2nd night after government suspends EU bid
For the second night in a row, there have been large protests on the streets of Georgia's capital Tbilisi. Opposition supporters clashed with police, after the country's government said it would suspend its talks to join the European Union (EU) until 2028. The ruling Georgian Dream party won last month's election, which the EU claims was marred by reports of voter intimidation and vote buying. Critics of the government say the latest policy shift is further evidence that the country is moving under Moscow's sphere of influence — which the Kremlin denies. Global's Redmond Shannon reports.
