‘Get on board’: Campbell Newman urges David Crisafulli to support Dutton’s nuclear plan

Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman has urged Queensland Premier David Crisafulli to “get on board” with Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s nuclear energy plan. Mr Dutton has announced his plan for nuclear energy will cost $331 billion over the next 25 years, according to research conducted by Frontier Economics. “I would hope that David [Crisafulli] would come around,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price. “He’s certainly not silly, and I think if he wants to actually do something about getting Queensland’s emissions down, and if he wants to do it in a way that actually protects the environment, then he should get on board with this.”
