After a relative lull over the summer, it appears that there are renewed calls from within Canada's Liberal caucus for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to quit. That sentiment came in the form of a private letter signed by over two dozen Members of Parliament, but no cabinet ministers. There is a feeling that Trudeau has been in power too long, and that a fresh face is needed to prevent the Liberals from suffering a massive electoral defeat. Mackenzie Gray has more. Rescues and recovery from Hurricane Milton are still underway, three days after the storm tore across Florida. More than 1,600 people have been rescued from flooded or heavily damaged areas, and Milton is blamed for over a dozen deaths. Bianca Facchinei explains. Toronto police are investigating after shots were fired at the Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School early Saturday morning. Police were called to the area shortly after 4 a.m., after suspects in a motor vehicle fired shots at the building. Police say no one was injured, and the area has been closed for the investigation. Sean O’Shea has the details. There are worries the conflict in the Middle East may escalate even further, with Israel expected to potentially retaliate over Iran's rocket attacks earlier this month. A new study out of the University of British Columbia (UBC) is showing that a program designed to make schools safer for students of all sexual orientations and genders is working.
