Despite Prime Minister Justin Trudeau facing criticism from some Liberal MPs about his leadership during a private caucus meeting, he emerged to say his party is "strong and united." The Bank of Canada has delivered an oversized interest rate cut of half a percentage point on, focusing now on boosting the Canadian economy amid signs inflation is well under control. The central bank’s policy rate now stands at 3.75 per cent.
