The Israeli military said on Friday that it is conducting strikes on military targets in Iran, after Iranian state media reported several explosions in the capital of Tehran. The attack has long been expected by both sides, after the Netanyahu government vowed to retaliate for Iran's own missile attacks earlier this month. Three journalists and a United Nations (UN) driver have been killed in separate Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon and Gaza, according to reports. Lebanon's state-run national news agency says a trio of media staffers in southeast Lebanon were killed when Israel hit a collection of chalets that had been rented by various media outlets, and that the Israeli army did not issue a warning before the strike. Redmond Shannon explains. The race to the White House is down to the wire, with no clear leader despite election day being just around the corner. Two new polls released on Friday suggest Americans are evenly split between Vice-President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump.
