After being hit by Hurricane Helene in September, people in Florida are now being ordered to escape Hurricane Milton, which could be the worst storm to hit that state in a century. The storm had weakened to a Category 4 but is once again gaining intensity. About 3.3 million people are in the Tampa Bay area and they’ve been warned to get out. Jackson Proskow reports. There are reports Tuesday of a deadly explosion in the Syrian capital of Damascus. Syrian state media is reporting that Israel fired missiles at a residential building, killing seven civilians, but Israel’s military has not confirmed its involvement. Meanwhile, Israel’s ground offensive in Lebanon is expanding alongside its campaign of airstrikes, with troops moving into an area of southwestern Lebanon. Redmond Shannon explains.
