Israelis are urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to negotiate with Hamas after six captives were found dead in Gaza. Families of the hostages are calling for an immediate cease-fire amid accusations of government neglect. Jewish communities worldwide, including in Canada, have been deeply affected by the news and are concerned for the remaining 100 captives. Global's Heidi Petracek reports on how the killings have sparked urgent calls for an end to the brutal conflict that began with the murder and kidnapping of Israelis more than 300 days ago. In this year's Paralympics in Paris, more than 150 countries are being represented, demonstrating the global participation and support for disabled athletes. Notably, Russia and Belarus have been banned from the games due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, prompting them to send athletes to compete as neutrals. Despite the conflict, Ukraine has sent a team of 74 Paralympians to France, including at least one soldier who was injured during Russia's invasion. Global's Mike Armstrong reports. Brazil has suspended access to Elon Musk's X platform after the social media giant failed to meet a key deadline to name a legal representative in the country. Musk has argued that the country is trying to impose censorship, while Brazil has said that X needs "enhanced regulations" to fight hate. As Global's Sean Previl explains, the judge behind the ban says fines will be imposed for anyone trying to get around the ruling and access the site, but it's left many including the country's youth feeling disconnected from the rest of the world.
