Gov't committed to empowering all students
Youth Minister Charles Griffith says Government is committed to providing real-life empowerment and employment-related training opportunities for all students. He made the comment as students from the Ann Hill School celebrated their recent participation in the Division of Youth's Pathways initiative, which forms part of its employability programme. Among other things, it exposes students to the world of work. During the event, the students were presented with their certificates and tokens having completed the programme, and Minister Griffith reassured the students it would not be a one-off opportunity. Meanwhile, Principal of the Ann Hill School, Emelda Bell says their aim is to empower students and to equip them with the skills and knowledge essential to independent living. Students Shaquon Alleyne and Shaquan Bancroft spoke on behalf of their colleagues to express gratitude to everyone involved for facilitating the programme.
