Gov’t preparing for upcoming hurricane season

Barbados is expected to see the instant formation of at least one weather event this year. Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams says the prediction has come from Director of the Barbados Meteorological Services, Sabu Best. Mr. Abrahams says Barbados is increasingly being affected by weather systems occurring as early as May, ahead of the official start of the Atlantic hurricane system. As a result, he reveals Government will be starting its preparations earlier.
