Gov’t to enhance funding for Emyooga - To drive economic growth and development in rural areas

The Minister of State for Microfinance, Haruna Kasolo, has announced that all Emyooga Savings and Credit Cooperatives will receive additional funding from the government. Each Emyooga SACCO is set to receive an extra twenty million shillings, aimed at empowering communities and fostering economic growth and development. During a monitoring visit organized by the Microfinance Support Centre to evaluate the progress of Emyooga SACCOs in the Sebei, Bugisu, and Bukedi sub-regions, it was plain that the program is making significant strides among the communities.
