Government distances itself from the demolitions in Kayole terming them as a private matter

Several families in Nyamavilla, in Nairobi's Kayole estate, will be forced to continue spending their nights in the cold after bulldozers demolished their houses. The demolitions happened following a prolonged land dispute dating back to 2002 between a real estate company and persons said to be occupying the land illegally. The national government through spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has since distanced itself from the demolitions terming them as a private affair following a court ruling
