Government is collaborating with non-state actors to reduce gender based violence in communities

Government of Uganda through its line ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development and the police, in collaboration with development partners, are evidently seen in the struggle to averting Gender Based Violence in families. CARE International Uganda in partnership with Community Empowerment for Rural Development (CEFORD) are some of the non-governmental Organizations collaborating with government in the fight against GBV through their five-year Women and Youth Resilience Project (WAYREP).
