Government praised for empowering women and youth through entrepreneurship programs

Members of the public have been encouraged to engage with government programs as part of efforts to combat poverty. This was shared by the UWEP National Coordinator, Winfred Mastiko, during a media address at the Uganda Media Centre in Kampala. She highlighted that the Women Entrepreneurship Program primarily benefits individuals in rural areas who lack access to traditional banking institutions. The program enables youth and women to create marketable products and repay their loans.
