GOVERNMENT’S COMMITMENT TO PAY CARNIVAL PRIZE MONIES IMMEDIATELY AFTER STILL STAND

The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to provide prize moneys immediately following Carnival events. It also says it will gradually pay down on arrears from previous stagings of the summer festivals. Cabinet will be asked to approve funding for this year's carnival when the overall plans are presented in two weeks' time. The Carnival Media Launch and Sponsorship Cocktail have been slated for April 25 at the Hodges Bay Club.
