Government shining the light on role models

Minister of State in the Attorney General's Office with responsibility for Crime Prevention, Corey Lane, has doubled down on the National Peace Program. This is in the wake of two murders this week, the latest on Friday night Speaking at the Wotton Playing Field at a Community Cook-Off, Lane noted the programme is there to highlight and elevate positive individuals. In his brief remarks, he called on everyone in the community to protect the country from negative influences including crime. Meanwhile, two peace pioneers have been announced through the “Gaining Stripes Programme”. They are Deontay Glasgow and Khadarius Alleyne. Mr. Lane also gave notice of a new program named the “Shine Role Models”.
