Government solicits for collaboration in the struggle to protect wetlands countrywide.

Government has called for concerted efforts in wetlands management across the country that are said to be under immense pressure stemming from the increased demand for both settlements and agriculture.  Of the over 33000 square kilometres of wetlands spread across the country, about 1,350 square kilometres have been degraded beyond restoration.   This was revealed during the 1st Annual National dialogue seeking solutions to wetlands crisis in Uganda.
