Government strengthens capacity digital space

The Government has strengthened its capacity and leadership in the digital space. The disclosure from Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, Marsha Caddle, as she addressed the audience during the Catapult Technology Summit held under the theme 'We Gatherin: Support Beyond the Screen'. Minister Caddle participated in the summit which was organised by the Ministry and involved information technology teams across Government and local technology developers. She also explained how a partnership with the Barbados Defence Force is set to strengthen Government's cyber security efforts. We also learned during the summit, the appointment of software engineer, entrepreneur and finance expert Mark Boyce as Chief Executive Officer of GovTech Barbados Ltd. GovTech is the Government agency established to improve public sector modernisation efforts.
