Government Suspends Bemax Contract Amid Smuggling Scandal

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has confirmed that the Rock Hall housing project will proceed in the new year, but without the involvement of Bemax Caribbean. The company’s Director, who was arrested in Montenegro earlier this year on smuggling charges, has prompted the government to take decisive action. During his end-of-year press conference on Wednesday, the Prime Minister announced that the government has suspended its contract with Bemax.
