GOVERNMENT TO PAY FORMER LIAT 1974 LTD WORKERS 32% SEVERANCE

Former LIAT 1974 employees will receive severance payments from the Government of Antigua and Barbuda. That announcement was made by Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne, during the budget presentation on Thursday. The head of government says the funds will be sourced from a bond to ensure the government makes a payment in line with its former stake of 32 per cent in the now-defunct company.
