Government urged to create more policies and legislation to ensure equal opportunities for PWDs

The government is being urged to create more policies and legislation to ensure equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. During a conference attended by over 300 local and international delegates, it was highlighted that there was insufficient inclusion of persons with disabilities in society. a challenge attributed to lack of resources and government funding. Stakeholders emphasized the need for more assistive technology to support the community, especially in an age where technology is continuously unlocking new opportunities.
