GPC leads motion with 13 demands aimed at building inclusive, safe digital society
The Communications and Information Ministry has announced a slew of measures to make digital spaces safer, online transactions more secure, and ensure that digitalisation benefits everyone. A new research programme will bring experts together to combat online harms. Singaporeans will also get access to resources like guide books and videos, under a new digital skills framework. Five MPs from the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) led by Tin Pei Ling tabled a motion for the government to make digital spaces more inclusive and secure. They raised 13 demands aimed at preventing scams, reducing harmful content, and making sure no one gets left behind.
