Lawyers representing relatives of a man found dead in a cell at the Bridgetown Central Police Station earlier this month are calling for a forensic pathologist to conduct the post-mortem. 29-year-old Kemo Grant was reportedly discovered in the cell on June 9. During a press conference attorneys Martie Garnes and Tyra Trotman said Grant's relatives have made their wishes clear. According to a statement from Police, personnel were making their regulation checks just after 7:30 a.m. when Grant, of Grazettes Main Road, St. Michael, was found motionless. Police say an ambulance was summoned but none was available at the time. The deceased's sister Kim Grant says her brother was not suffering from any known illnesses at the time of his death. Police Commissioner Richard Boyce has told CBC News a senior officer has been assigned to investigate the matter.
