‘Grasping at straws’: Labor slammed for having ‘no agenda’

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan has slammed the Albanese government for “grasping at straws” as they are focusing on Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s comments on Gaza refugees because they have “no agenda”. Mr Dutton is seeking legal advice after Independent MP Zali Steggall called him a “racist” in Parliament last week. “The government really has no agenda, so they have to grasp at these straws,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Paul Murray. “What the country needs right now is a plan to deal with the cost of living.”
