‘Great amount of triumph’: Hope for mortgage holders as markets price in an early 2025 rate cut

DPG Advisory Solutions Founder and Director David Gazard has commented on the possibility that early next year, mortgage holders could see a rate cut by the Reserve Bank. “Whether or not the Prime Minister can hold out that long with the numbers he’s seeing on a daily basis all the way out to April and wait for a cut in rates is another thing,” he told Sky News Australia. “But ... it’s a great amount of triumph now because the economy is slowing to such an extent that we get a rate cut.”
