‘Greatest win’: Donald Trump’s federal trial will not go ahead before election

US criminal defence attorney Rachel Fiset says Donald Trump’s election subversion case will “certainly” not be going to trial before the US election. The US Supreme Court has sent Donald Trump's claim that he is immune from prosecution for his actions while president back to a lower court. “That is really the greatest win for Donald Trump in this decision,” Ms Fiset said. “If he were to win the election, he can then try to pardon himself and see what kind of legal issues that brings up.”
