‘Gross misuse of his position’: Chris Bowen slammed for ‘deliberately’ misleading Australia

Liberal MP Garth Hamilton slammed Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen for “wilfully and deliberately” misleading the Australian public for the political purposes of the Labor Party. His remarks come after The Australian reported Mr Bowen ‘weaponised’ the public service by instructing his department to produce ‘entirely flawed’ figures to allege Peter Dutton’s nuclear energy plan would see a 49 per cent electricity shortfall by 2035. “This is a gross misuse of his position,” Mr Hamilton told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
