The Lebanon-Syria border has become a lifeline for displaced individuals from South Lebanon and South Beirut. The border, which requires no documentation for Lebanese and Syrians to cross, has seen over one lakh people cross into Syria in the last three days following Israeli missile strikes. The border is also a corridor for the movement of Islam fighters. During the Syrian war, over five lakh Syrians crossed into Lebanon, many of whom are now returning to Syria.
