A programme seeking to assist children of incarcerated people is hoping to help even more of them next year. This is according to Executive Director of Prison Fellowship Barbados, Neil Dowden. He was speaking to CBC News as the programme held a Christmas luncheon for the children as well as ex-inmates. Mr. Dowden says the group is also aiming to give out 500 Christmas gifts to children of incarcerated parents through its Angel Tree Programme. The Kiwanis Club of Barbados Central has donated a number of gifts towards the drive. President, Maria Benn spoke to CBC News following the presentation.
