The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery has fired a 41-gun salute in central London. The gun salute marks King Charles' accession to the throne and the second anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death in 2022. It happened a day later than the actual anniversary, as gun salutes are not held on Sundays. Gun salutes are fired on several occasions including the King's Birthday and Coronation Day.
