Hamas says Gaza truce talks still deadlocked despite reports of progress

Conflicting reports emerging over the new round of Gaza truce talks in Cairo. A Hamas official said negotiations remain deadlocked, despite Egyptian reports saying otherwise. Israel's foreign minister has described the talks as the closest both sides have come to a deal since November's truce, which saw Hamas freeing dozens of hostages. On the ground, concerns are growing about the fate of Gaza's southern city of Rafah. According to media reports, Israel is preparing to evacuate the city within a week.
