After first exposing the issue last week, Sky News can now reveal a chronic lack of national testing for microplastics, as experts issue a warning about their possible impact on human health. An alarming Griffith University study claims that waste treatment products are contaminated with microplastics, up to 1.7 kilograms worth per tonne.
