HDB resale prices rise 9.6% in 2024, private housing prices up 3.9%

HDB resale prices increased by 9.6 per cent in 2024, almost double the 4.9 per cent increase in 2023, with more public flats trading hands too. For this year, HDB will launch its largest-ever Sale of Balance Flats exercise next month. Meanwhile, private housing prices rose by 3.9 per cent in 2024, lower than the 6.9 per cent increase in 2023. Analysts say demand was dragged down by economic uncertainties in the first half of the year.
