Hidden sugars in Asia’s baby food spark concerns | BBC News

As parents in South East Asia get richer, they are increasingly turning to convenience foods to feed their babies. These products are often marketed as healthy and nutritious, but many of them contain added sugar, while the same products sold in western supermarkets have no sugar. A Unicef study of 1,600 baby foods across South East Asia found nearly half included added sugars and sweeteners. The BBC’s Suranjana Tewari travelled to the Philippines to find out more.
