According to reports from the State of Britain's Hedgehogs, the number of hedgehogs have declined between 30-75% since 2000. These declines have been linked to shrinking wild areas due to urbanization, with walls and roads breaking up the few spaces left. However, some communities have taken action to save the creatures by building "hedgehog highways" between gardens to help their movements.
