Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has offered to resign as disgruntled Congress legislators threatened a rebellion, putting the state government on shaky ground. Sources said Congress high command did not seek Sukhu's resignation, but the Chief Minister offered to quit of his own volition. As its troubles deepened, the ruling Congress was dealt another blow by the resignation of powerful minister Vikramaditya Singh on Wednesday. Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, said the party MLAs' views "were ignored".
