नए 'हिट एंड रन' का मध्य प्रदेश के अलावा राजस्थान, गुजरात, यूपी और बिहार में विरोध रहा है. इसको लेकर ड्राइवर चक्का जाम कर रहे हैं. दरअसल, सड़क हादसों पर नियंत्रण करने के लिए केंद्र सरकार ने 'हिट एंड रन' कानून में बदलाव किया है. इंडियन पीनल कोड 2023 में हुए संशोधन के बाद एक्सीडेंट होने पर ड्राइवर को 10 साल की सजा और 7 लाख के जुर्माने का प्रावधान किया गया है. 10 साल की सजा के प्रावधान की वजह से ही ड्राइवर परेशान हैं और विरोध कर रहे हैं. Actually, to control road accidents, the Central Government has made changes in the 'Hit and Run' law. After the amendment in the Indian Penal Code 2023, a provision of 10 years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 7 lakh has been made to the driver in case of an accident.
