Hoima City issues ultimatum to clear wetland encroachments by February 1st

Members of the Hoima City security committee have issued a one-week ultimatum to people who are encroaching on wetlands to vacate them before they are forcefully evicted. Badru Mugabi, the Hoima Resident City commissioner, says most of the wetlands around the city have been highly degraded by cultivators, washing bay operators, and other developers who have to be evicted.
