Horse airlifted to safety after getting stuck in Santa Ana River in Riverside County

Firefighters and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department rescued a horse that got stuck in the Santa Ana River Sunday. The incident was reported around 1:40 p.m. in the 2700 block of Shadow Canyon Circle. [Ads /] Two riders were with two horses when something frightened the animals, causing them to run off.
