House panel rejects Sara Duterte's request to 'stay' with detained chief of staff
The House committee on good government and public accountability has rejected a request of Vice President Sara Duterte to accompany her chief of staff, Atty. Zuleika Lopez, who is detained in the premises of the House of Representatives after being cited in contempt. The panel's chairperson, Rep. Joel Chua, said Friday (November 22) that while he did not allow the vice president to "stay" with Lopez inside her detention facility, he agreed to her second request: to visit her subordinate within visiting hours. In a press conference, Chua also detailed the requests of Lopez in relation to her regular therapy and rehabilitation sessions while in detention.
