Master Builders Australia Chief Executive Denita Wawn discussed the current state of the housing market on Sky News Australia, providing an update on the latest developments. According to Ms Wawn, while there has been a slight increase in building approvals over the past month, the industry is still facing significant challenges. "We're still forecasting that we'll be around about 320,000 homes short over the accord period of five years," she said. "We still need to be doing an awful lot to resolve the housing supply issues." Ms Wawn emphasised that the housing crisis will be a critical issue during the federal election, as it is a major concern for both homeowners and renters.
